The journey of a Specialty coffee bean starts with the producer whose family has likely spent generations perfecting their approach to farming the highest quality coffee possible.
From there, the green coffee is transferred to the green coffee buyer who carefully assesses the beans to determine whether they meet the criteria for Specialty coffee. If the beans pass the assessment, they are transferred to the coffee roaster who skillfully roasts the beans to ensure that the highest standards of quality and flavor come through in the final product.
Finally, the Specialty coffee bean reaches the barista or home brewer who are skilled at revealing the bean’s flavor profiles through brewing.
