Kawah Coffee Chocolate Protein Balls
These Kawah coffee chocolate protein balls are low in sugar and have a lovely chewy fudgy texture to give you a great boost of caffeine before or after a workout (Hello, lockdowns and weight gain!). Super simple to make and will keep for 5 days in the fridge in a sealed container.
Yes! you heard that right! This is a marriage made in heaven for a super healthy pick me up with your favourite speciality coffee ☕️
What you will need:
Makes 8 Kawah coffee chocolate protein balls
- 60g oats
- 30g chocolate flavoured protein (you can use any vegan)
- 1 double shot of espresso Shop – Kawah Coffee (kawah-rwanda.com)
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 2 tbsp almond butter (or any nut butter you fancy!)
- 1 tbsp raw cacao
How to make them :
- Add all of the dry ingredients to a food processor and mix for 20 seconds
- Add in your wet ingredients and mix again until well combined – you will have a super sticky dark dough at this point
- Take the dough from the food processor and shape with your hands into 1 large ball. Split this ball in 2 evenly and continue doing so until you have 8 mini dough balls
- Shape each little ball until nice and round and then chill in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight
- Optional – for an extra protein hit roll your protein balls in chopped hazelnuts or almonds.
Once chilled enjoy with a coffee before a 🏋️♂️ or as a healthy snack.
